Find Your Way to Voss Resort

Voss Resort is located in the heart of Fjord Norway, just 99 km from Bergen and close to Voss town centre. The ski resort has two welcome centres: one by the gondola in the town centre and one in Bavallen, about 5 km from the centre. Our cabins are also located in Bavallen.

Voss Resort – closer than you think

Travelling to Voss is easy by car, bus, or train from both Bergen and Oslo. Bergen Airport, Flesland, is the closest airport – only 1.5 hours from Voss Resort – and offers good domestic and international connections.

Travel Green with the Gondola

The lower gondola station is located at Voss Railway Station, where bus, train, and taxi lines meet. From here, you go straight into the mountains in an easy and environmentally friendly way. Travel time from Bergen is about 1.5 hours from boarding the train to standing on Hangur, ready for adventure in both summer and winter.

Free Bus from Voss to Bavallen and Tråstølen

We offer free weekly transport from Voss Station to Bavallstunet and further up to Tråstølen. This service runs throughout the season, with return trips every Sunday.

Route and Stops

  • Departure from Voss Station: bus stop by Voss Cultural Centre (same stop as the ski bus to Myrkdalen).
  • The bus continues to Bavallstunet (reception) and up to Tråstølen (parking area).
  • Return on Sundays from Tråstølen, with stops along the main road through the cabin area, Bavallstunet reception, and back to Voss Station.

  • 2 and 3 April: No departures from Voss Station.

Parking

Buy a Season Parking Pass

For the coming winter season, we will offer a season parking pass for NOK 990.
The pass is valid during ski resort opening hours throughout the season, as long as capacity is available.
This is not a subscription; you must buy a new pass each season.

Own Several Cars?

You can register multiple vehicles under the same profile when purchasing a season pass.
Note: only one car may be parked at a time. This makes it easy for you to switch between different cars, but remember to check that the right car is activated before you park.

Prices and Seasons

Low Season

  • NOK 15 per hour – max NOK 75 per day
  • Valid Monday–Thursday in weeks 50–51, 2–6, 10–13 and 15

High Season

  • NOK 25 per hour – max NOK 125 per day
  • Valid Friday–Sunday + weeks 52–1, 7–9 and 14

Free Parking

There are some free parking areas near the ski resort. See map for exact locations.

Drop-off

Parking is free for up to 1 hour in all parking areas. If you stay longer than 1 hour, the first hour will also be charged.

Why We Are Introducing This

Our goal is to improve order in the parking areas, ensure good access for guests and emergency vehicles, and encourage carpooling where possible. This measure will improve the guest experience and support a more sustainable development of Voss Resort.
Parking operations will be managed by OnePark.

Parking in the Town Centre

If you are taking the gondola and arriving by car, you can use one of the 1,300 parking spaces in Voss town centre. Gondola tickets are always included when you purchase a ski pass. In addition, children under 7 travel free on the gondola without needing their own ticket.

Take the Train to Voss

Voss has several daily departures and arrivals from both Bergen and Oslo. The gondola is located right next to Voss Railway Station. Prices, timetables, and ticket booking are available at www.vy.no.

Travel time to and from Voss:

  • Bergen: approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Oslo: approx. 6 hours
  • Flåm: approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

If you arrive by train and are going skiing, you can go straight into the gondola when you arrive at Voss Station. All our ski passes include a gondola ticket.

The gondola takes you to Hangurstoppen (where the Express Lift arrives) in less than 10 minutes. You can therefore travel green and effortlessly from the city centre in Bergen or Oslo all the way up to Hangurstoppen!
