Welcome to Hangurstoppen - panoramic views and local food at its best.
We have Northern Europe's largest and most modern gondola lift. It has nine cabins with room for 35 passengers in each cabin. The gondola runs continuously, so waiting time is minimal.
Take the Bergen train to Voss Station and reach Hangurstoppen Restaurant in less than nine minutes.
A gondola – a multitude of possibilities for activities
A trip on the gondola is much more than just a gondola ride. It is an experience that is a little out of the ordinary, whether you want to enjoy the view for a few hours or plan a whole day packed with activities.
The gondola opens at 9:00 a.m., so you can start your day in the best possible way with a coffee at Hangurstoppen Restaurant while enjoying the view of the mountains and fjord. At 9:30 a.m., the slopes are freshly groomed and ready for those who are eager to hit the slopes
Buy gondola ticket
The vast majority of our tickets can be purchased online. The advantage of this is that it can save time in the ticket queue. If you have purchased "round trip" or "one way" online, you go straight to the gondola entrance. Your ticket will be sent to you by email.
On our day passes, you can choose to use an existing keycard and upload it directly online. Then you can go past the ticket queue and straight to the gondola turnstile. If you buy a new day pass with a new Keycard, you must pick it up at one of our ticket machines.
You can also buy season passes and full-year passes online. Upload a photo of yourself when ordering, and collect it from the ticket machine when you arrive. A new keycard is not included in the price.

Ticket machines and guest service
There are ticket machines at the lower station and upper station, where you can buy return tickets, single tickets and day passes. Family tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the lower station. If you need a bicycle ticket, you can buy it from guest services.
Local food experience 818 meters above sea level
Hangurstoppen Restaurant, in the heart of Voss Resort, is Voss's largest restaurant with 310 seats. The restaurant has large windows and a beautiful outdoor area that makes nature a part of the meal and really gives you the feeling that you are in the high mountains.
Our menu is delicious and full of favourites: fresh salads, stone-baked bruschetta, creamy pasta, hearty stews, juicy burgers, fish and meat dishes, and stone-baked pizza.
Green travel
It is easy to get to Voss by car, bus and train, both from Bergen and Oslo. The lower station of the gondola lift is located at the transport hub with buses, trains and taxis at Voss Railway Station, making it very easy for visitors to continue their journey to the mountains in an environmentally friendly way. From Bergen Station, it will take you about 1.5 hours from boarding the train in Bergen to arriving at Hangurstoppen.
